Just applied to the UN Foundation for an internship…
It’s a public affairs/new media internship with the Online Communication department. I’m super nervous and hope I get it because it is perfect for me. It encompasses not only my communications major, but my international relations major as well. I also have good experience in that department thanks to my job this year (+1 for the Simmons OD&C department). Having an internship with any part of the UN has always been a dream, but the UN foundation is even better because they focus a lot of time on women’s rights. Right up my alley. Until I hear back it’s time to keep applying.
Cross your fingers for me!

Hey Sarah! I hate making your entire page dedicated to asking questions but I just really wanted to ask you something! My friend and I are attending Simmons in the fall and you were talking about going to other schools on the weekends like BU, NU, etc. Well, one of our good friends goes to Harvard, do Simmons girls go there a lot for partying too?

I’ve gone down to Harvard a couple times. I have friends who go there religiously and some date guys who are at Harvard and in Finals Clubs. Harvard is just a slight hike because it’s towards the end of the Red Line.
I actually spend a lot of my time, and most of my friends spend time, at another school in Cambridge. My boyfriend is in a fraternity at MIT (there are 26 fraternities at MIT). I’ve found most of my close guy friends are from MIT.
